What went down

Laura told cameras she found Adam 'sexy' (ep 4) even after he said he wasn't looking for love on the boat. She kept pursuing him through eps 5-6 as he repeatedly said they would 'never' get together, and Aesha checked in on him in ep 7.

How it landed

Unrequited; Laura was let go in ep 7, and Adam said he couldn't have been nicer to her.
