What went down
Captain Jason kept stepping in to direct the deck crew himself, undercutting first-time bosun Jamie (ep 4). In ep 7 Jamie called the captain's tender handling unsafe, told his team to ignore unsafe orders and threatened to leave. Jamie got a verbal warning in ep 11, and when Jason kept Benny in ep 13 Jamie said the captain didn't have his back.

Jamie finished the season, still feeling unsupported.
