⚔️ Rivalry · Below Deck Season 4
Nico Leapfrogs the Bosun
What went down
Nico and Kelley competed for Emily (ep 4) and Nico grew unimpressed with Kelley's leadership (eps 9, 11). After Kelley stranded VIP guest Dean on a beach, Captain Lee made Nico senior deckhand and gave him some of Kelley's authority (ep 12), leaving Kelley pouting about a 'sorta-demotion' (ep 13).
How it landed
Nico returned as lead deckhand for season 5; Kelley did not.
