Lead Deckie vs. Bosun: Who's Really Running the Deck?

What went down

Bosun Alex picked Matt as lead deckhand in episode 1, and Matt quickly had his own ideas about how to run things. In episode 2 Matt was still frustrated by Alex's laid-back leadership while a rusty Alex made a string of mistakes. Captain Kerry called Alex to the wheelhouse, told him to do better, and warned him to harness Matt's energy before it turned into a power struggle. In episode 3 Matt took the lead setting up the water slide, vented to James while Alex joined the guests' kayak tour instead of running the deck, and was told by Alex that he had 'made [his] bed.'

How it landed

Ongoing, and getting worse. Matt is still waiting for Alex to prove himself as bosun.
