Deckhand Baker admired EJ's teaching style (ep 7) and asked him on a date in ep 8. They cuddled on a windy beach (ep 9), but cautious EJ kept his distance, doing push-ups beside her on his last night (ep 11).
How it landed
Never got past flirting. EJ said at the reunion that his biggest regret was not kissing Baker.
